ARMOR SHIELD® VCI FOAMS are available in polyurethane and polyethylene materials. Open cell polyurethane foam typically comes in 1/4" thick sheets while polyethylene typically comes in a laminate with film from 1/6" to 1/4" thick. Foams ideal for small parts, which need cushioning protection as well as VCI Corrosion Inhibiting protection. Standard size pads are 10” x 10” X ¼”. Custom sizes are available upon request. Conforms to most applications

Recomended for both ferrous and non-ferrous metals including steel, iron, copper, brass, zinc, galvanized (zinc plated steel and iron). Cadmium and aluminum, nickel and nickel alloys should be evaluated in the usual method of handling.

NOT RECOMMENDED FOR: Silver. For Silver and other noble metals, use VCI Paper Packaging consisting of the Armor Silver Shield formulation. This is a ph paper that absorbs hydrogen sulfide vapors, which cause them corrosion and tarnishing.
